American Wide Plank Flooring was founded in 2018 by David Gilbert and Pierre-Olivier Rodrigue. They wanted to create a high-quality product that could meet the criteria of different lifestyles. To do this, they carefully selected the species that will form the pillars of their collection. Their choices fell on three of the most resistant species on the market: hickory, white oak and finally, black walnut. In order to optimize the stability and durability of their floor, they opted for engineering construction.
They based the company in the beautiful and welcoming Chaudière Appalaches region of Quebec, more specifically in the city of Thetford. The latter welcomes several employees and provides sustainable jobs in the regions.
